As you may know, Carnegie Mellon University professor and YouTube star, Randy Pausch passed away on Friday at age 47.

If you haven't seen his famous "Last Lecture" on "Achieving Your Childhood Dreams," you should stop reading this blog and watch it now.  It's inspirational and changed the life perspectives of millions of people including your's truly.

The world lost a great soul on Friday.  But if any of us have 1/100th the joy in life and impact on the world as Dr. Pausch had in his last year, we should count ourselves blessed.

I wish sincere condolences and prayers for peace to Dr. Pausch's family.

My sincere condolences to his family and all of his friends and colleagues. The world has lost a very special man- but he leaves us an incredible legacy: his love of life, his incredible sense of humor, and the message that we should all be thankful for every minute of joy life has to offer us.
Thank you for everything Randy, we will never forget you. God bless.

Randy Pausch - a great life that ended too soon. Yet, while you were alive, you helped so many students, touched so many hearts and inspired so many of us!.
Men like you are rare in today's day and age and you will be remembered forever.
May your soul rest in peace.

Our sincere condolences to Randy's family and friends. Randy was such a special person and touched the lives of so many people. My grandfather had asked for the Last Lecture book for his 84th Birthday. We got it for him, he read it and loved it. He passed away on June 1. I do believe that after dealing with a long battle of depression since my Grandmother had been diagnosed with advanced Alzheimer's hearing the Last Lecture made him want to be around his family again. Therefore, we had a wonderful celebration for his 84th Birthday. Little did we know it would be the last one we would celebrate. For that Randy, I thank you!!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with Jai, Logan, Dylan and Chloe. We thank you so much for sharing your wonderful husband & father with us all. He has and will continue to inspire so many. I will always appreciate him teaching me to "live" everyday and enjoy every moment with my children and be kinder to my husband and family.
Thank you sincerely Jai. May love and comfort surround you and your children.

Dear Family of Professor Randy Pausch,
I would like to send my sincere condolences, prayers, and wishes of comfort to all of you. Your loss saddens me deeply. I will keep you all in my prayers for a long time and pray that God brings you peace and strength as time goes on.
I am very sure that Professor Randy will be very close to you all throughout time and that there will be a joyous reunion in heaven one day.
I know this may sound wierd, but I offer it to you in hopes that it may help you. The thing that helps me with my grief of loosing my wonderful parents is getting in touch with them from time to time through the talent of a bonified "medium". I know that sounds so far out and crazy, but a friend of mine suggested it, and I tried it and I can't tell you how much it relieved my grief. I go to her every once in awhile, and my parents are always there and they know all about the details of what is going on in my life and give me advice. It is truly the next best thing to still having them here with me.
Another thing that has helped me is reading some good books by people who have this special ability. I was especially comforted by Sylvia Browne's book, "Life on the Other Side". Also books by Allison DuBois, James Van Praagh, and Johnathan Edwards are wonderful.
I also have reunions with my parents in my dreams, and that also relieves the grief tremendously, so I hope you all have them too.
Nothing can change the loss, but the experience can be an avenue to spititual growth and the realization that the power of love can continue even after death and that I believe, there is no such thing, really, as "death".
I offer this to you in hopes that I may be able to help you at this sad time. May God richly bless all of you always.
Sincerely,
Anna, R.N. in Silver Spring, Maryland
